The making of the Squat-Base

Nachdem ich nun so viele Squats bemalt habe brauchten diese dringend eine kleine Basisstation.

Also einfach aus Architektenpappe einen Grundkörper zusammengeklebt und angefangen diesen mit Styrodur zu verkleiden um dazustellen das sie Station von Fels umgeben ist.

After I had painted so many Squats I thought they need a little basestation. So I glued a body together from Foamboard an began to clad it with styrodur to show that the station is surrounded with rocks.

Styrodur mit Flame erhitzt und angeschmolzen um dem ganzen etwas weicher Strukturen zu geben. Ich nehme hierzu einen Gasbrenner für die Küche.


Heated and melted the Styrodur with a flame so that
it has smoother structure. Herfore I use a gas burner for the kitchen.

Squats - 6 Ironclaw Squats

Auf dem Bild sind 6 Squats aus der Ironclaw Serie von GW zu sehen. Die Figuren stammen aus dem Jahre 1988.

Ironclaw war eine kleine Miniaturenserie modelliert vob Bob Olley, produziert und vertrieben durch GW. Nachdem sich Bob Olley und GW trennten wurden viele der Ironclaw Miniaturen in das normale GW-Programm übernommen.

Iron Claw were a range of miniatures designed by Bob Olley. When Bob and Citadel parted company many of these pieces were assimilated into the main Citadel lists.

Das Bild zeigt die Bergwerker aus der

Angriff auf den Schädelpass-Box.

Eigentlich mag ich keine Plastikfiguren,

dachte aber das die Bergwerker mit

etwas Farbe recht nett aussehen könnten.

Auf Ebay gab es jeweils 8 Bergwerker für je 2 Euro,

also 3 x gekauft und inkl. Porto knapp 10 Euro ausgegeben.

An einem regnerischem Nachmittag in 3-4 Stunden

Ende 2006 recht schnell und einfach bemalt.

Ich denke es ist ein nettes und vor allem billiges Regiment.

The picture shows the Miners from the

Actually I didn't like plastic figures but thought the miners

could look really nice with some colours.

Someone sold 8 Miners for 2 Euros several times on Ebay,

I bought them 3 times and payed 10 Euro including shipping costs.

Painted really quick and simple in 3-4 hourson on

an rainy afternoon at the end of 2006.

I think it's a nice and mainly a cheap regiment.
